Swinging into a new chapter

An empty space is usually a sign of something coming or going. During the last few weeks I've been doing a lot of both.

In high school I dreamed of earning a college degree and moving to California to enter the world of communications and pursue my career. Today that is my reality. Accepting a position at Inland Empire United Way and making the transition across the country was a huge step. After taking it I learned and grew in ways I never expected.

There have been many great and rewarding experiences through the last two years. I’m grateful for my time at IEUW and the mistakes that turned into lessons, the experiences that turned into memories and the colleagues that turned into friends and family. It has been a pleasure impacting lives and communities within the region and creating new possibilities for individuals, children and families in need with others in the Inland Empire.

This is exactly what I shared with my team as I announced my transition into a new chapter of my life and career. I was recently offered and accepted a position to serve the TGR Foundation, a Tiger Woods Charity, as the Copywriter and Communications Manager.

After moving to Orange County and completing my last day as the Community Engagement Coordinator at IEUW, I'm excited to share my transition to Orange County and the TGR Foundation. I look forward to engaging with you as my journey continues. Although, I'm no longer a IEUW Employee, my support for the organization and United Way Network will continue as I give, advocate, volunteer and "Live United."

More to come.

All my best,

Jasmine C. Tate
